FLOYD COUNTY, KY – A local educator was killed in a head-on collision in Floyd County on Monday morning, reports WSAZ.
The accident took place close to 6 a.m. on KY 80 near Henry’s Branch Road when a driver attempting to turn onto 80 crossed over the center line and struck an oncoming vehicle.
The driver of that car has been identified as 73-year-old Sok Su Snyder, a long-time employee of Floyd County Schools.
No word on what is thought to have caused the accident. No other injuries were reported.
