LONDON, KY- A freightliner driver struck and killed a pedestrian on southbound I-75 on Oct 13, KSP News 11 reports.
Luis Gurdarrama-Fernandez, a 49 year-old trucker from Illinois, struck Billi J Mcvay, a 22 year-old young woman from Corbin.
Mcvay had been walking on the road around mile marker 34 when she was hit around 10:41p.m. Due to her injuries, she was treated at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.
The Laurel County Rescue Squad, Laurel County Sheriff’s Office, and the Laurel County Fire Department all responded to the scene.
