PADUCAH, KY – At least one person sustained injuries Saturday morning after two semis collided along the interstate in east-central McCracken County.
The accident happened at 5:17 a.m. on the eastbound side of I-24 near mile marker 8, which is on the southwest side of Paducah.
Police haven’t shared any details regarding the circumstances of the collision except to say that both 18-wheelers sustained heavy damage.
It’s not yet clear whether the injured party required hospitalization.
Officials closed the eastbound side of I-24 in the area of the collision while crews worked to clear the scene.
A full investigation is underway.
