Man found dead after apparent hit-and-run in Louisville; driver at large

LOUISVILLE, KY – A man was killed in an apparent hit and run on Saturday afternoon on Interstate 64 in Louisville, reports WDRB.

The fatality victim, 29-year-old Ira Land, was found dead on I-64 in the median close to Cannons Lane and the Cochran Hill Tunnels. Responders concluded that Land was walking eastbound on the highway when he was struck and killed by an unknown vehicle.

Police are still currently seeking assistance in find the suspect’s vehicle, either a Chevrolet Silverado or Tahoe, that would have been in the vicinity before 1:30 p.m. headed eastbound.
