LEBANON, KY- Two adults and a child were killed when their counterflow vehicle crashed on Oct. 6th, KSP reports. The Kentucky State Police, Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Marion County Fire and EMS, Marion County Rescue Squad, Marion County Coroner, and Kentucky State Highway Department all responded to the call on US 68. The KSP stated that a 2015 Nissan Sentra was driving west when it drove onto the other lane. The Sentra then crashed into a 2011 Lexus SUV which had been driving east. GRAVES COUNTY, KY- Two children and two women were hospitalized after colliding at an intersection on U.S. 45 Thursday afternoon, WPSD Local reports. The driver responsible for the crash, Debra Malone, reported that the other car was invisible due to the sun’s glare when she attempted to cross U.S. 45 to Hickory Road. Both the Graves County Sheriff’s Office and the Viola Fire Department reported to the scene at 5:17p.m. Several people attempted to assist the injured as well. WALTON, KY – A teenage woman has died following a crash over a week ago on I-75 in northern Kentucky, reports FOX 19. The crash occurred on October 4th, just after midnight near the Richwood exit on Interstate 75 south when a tractor hauling two trailers struck the rear of a car that had stopped in the left lane. Both vehicles travelled across traffic after the impact. Brianna Pyles of Burlington, 19-years-old, was a passenger in the rear-ended vehicle. CHRISTIAN COUNTY, KY – A woman was hospitalized following a crash on Greenville Road in Christian County on Monday, reports WKDZ Radio. The accident occurred close to 2 p.m. in the southbound lanes of North Greenville Road when the driver of a car turned into the path of an SUV while attempting to turn. FLOYD COUNTY, KY – A local educator was killed in a head-on collision in Floyd County on Monday morning, reports WSAZ. The accident took place close to 6 a.m. on KY 80 near Henry’s Branch Road when a driver attempting to turn onto 80 crossed over the center line and struck an oncoming vehicle. The driver of that car has been identified as 73-year-old Sok Su Snyder, a long-time employee of Floyd County Schools. No word on what is thought to have caused the accident.
