Narrative
SCOTTSVILLE, KY – Two women died Wednesday in a wrong-way collision along a major roadway in Scottsville.
The accident happened at 1:40 p.m. along New Glasgow Road, which runs west to east along the north side of the city.
Police say that for unknown reasons, a southbound 2002 Chevrolet pickup truck entered the northbound side of the roadway and collided head-on with a northbound 2013 Kia Optima.
A passenger in the Chevy, identified as 81-year-old Rebecca Tooley, died at the scene.
Medics airlifted both drivers to a hospital in Nashville. The driver of the Kia, 40-year-old Amanda Robledo, died shortly thereafter.
A full investigation is underway.
