Narrative
SHELBYVILLE, KY – A Bagdad man died, and another man sustained injuries Wednesday in a two-vehicle crash on the eastern outskirts of Shelbyville.
The accident happened just after 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of Benson Pike and Elmburg Road, which is west of Deer Run Nursery.
Police say two vehicles collided in the intersection. It’s unclear which driver caused the crash, but police say one of the drivers may have been intoxicated.
The impact of the collision threw one driver from his vehicle, and he died at the scene. Authorities have not yet released his name to the public.
Medics transported the other driver to the hospital with non-critical injuries.
