Narrative
LOUISVILLE, KY – A woman died late Friday morning after multiple vehicles struck her along the interstate in southeast Louisville.
The accident happened around 11:40 a.m. on the northbound side of I-65 near Outer Loop, which is just west of KY-61 and Okolona.
Police haven’t yet provided any details regarding the vehicles that hit the woman, nor it is clear why the victim was walking along the interstate. They say the woman died at the scene of the accident.
The victim’s identity has not been released to the public.
Officials closed the northbound lanes of I-65 in the area of the accident while crews worked to clear the scene.
A full investigation is underway.
