Narrative
LONDON, KY – A three-vehicle crash along a highway in central Laurel County killed one person and injured several others on Sunday.
The crash occurred somewhere along KY-192 in the city of London, which is about 76 miles southeast of Lexington.
Police say that a westbound Ford pickup truck rear-ended a Nissan minivan, causing the latter vehicle to travel into the eastbound lanes of traffic. The Nissan then collided head-on with an eastbound GMC SUV.
The 56-year-old driver of the minivan, identified Phyllis Darlene Hale, died from injuries sustained in the crash.
One additional person from the minivan and seven people from the SUV went to the hospital with injuries.
