STANTON, KY – Three people were injured Wednesday after a major accident involving a cement truck in Powell County.

The incident occurred near the intersection of Washington Street and West College Avenue in Stanton. This is about 37 miles northeast of Richmond.

Police haven’t shared any details about the circumstances of the accident except to say that a cement truck struck another vehicle.

Medics transported three people to the hospital with unspecified injuries.

A full investigation is underway to determine the cause of the collision.
