Narrative
STRUNK, KY – A 19-year-old man died, and at least four people went to the hospital Monday after a two-vehicle crash in south central McCreary County.
The incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of US-27 and Southern Highway in the city of Strunk.
It’s not yet clear what caused the two vehicles to collide, but one of the drivers, identified as Cameron D. Burke, died after being thrown from his overturned vehicle.
Medics transported the other driver, identified as 71-year-old Martha M. King, to the hospital with non-critical injuries. Three passengers from King’s car also went to the hospital with non-critical injuries.
A full investigation is underway. We’ll report back if we learn more about the cause of the accident.
