Narrative
FARMINGTON, KY – A 33-year-old and 34-year-old man were hurt when their 2017 Freightliner semi swerved off KY 564 and crashed into an embankment and trees before their vehicle overturned. This collision took place before 3:45 p.m. Tuesday. Grave County deputies said the truck’s rear-end tires came off. The driver — Steven Leake, 34, of Memphis, Tennessee — tried to get the trailer to come back onto the road. However, Leake overcorrected to the left side, and the truck overturned eventually. Diesel fuel leaked from the semi-truck, which was contained. Leake sustained a minor shoulder injury, and the passenger with him — an unidentified 33-year-old man — suffered a minor head wound. Both refused to be taken to a hospital, and they did wear seatbelts.
