Narrative
INDEPENDENCE, KY – A 25-year-old man lost his life when his 2015 Harley Davidson collided with a 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe in Independence after 3 p.m. Monday. This collision took place at the Taylor Mill Road and Harris Pike intersection. Independence Police and Kenton County officials said the crash happened when the Hyundai driver — 80-year-old Paul Bailey of Covington — turned on northbound Taylor Mill Road and struck the motorcyclist, who was identified as Alexander Tye of Independence. Bailey’s car came to rest in front of a veterinarian practice, and the motorcycle came to rest on its side in the roadway. Tye did not wear a helmet,, and he succumbed to fatal injuries at the scene. It is unclear if Bailey will be charged and if he was hurt.
