CLAY CITY, KY – A 79-year-old woman’s and an 80-year-old man’s lives were claimed in a head-on collision on Kentucky 11 Wednesday. Kentucky State Police said the driver of a Dodge pickup truck – 80-year-old William Thompson – had, for reasons unclear, gone over the center lines and struck a Chevy SUV driver head-on. Thompson and the other driver –79-year-old Priscilla Davis – were pronounced dead at the scene.
