Narrative

A truck crashed into a Buick Verano on Feb. 16 as the Buick was pulling into a gas station on Interstate Dr. and the Buick’s passenger later died from her injuries. Loretta Birch, 70, was the passenger who ended up passing away. Birch and the driver in her car were visiting Kentucky from Michigan when they were T-boned by the Dodge Ram truck. Birch sustained serious injuries and later died at a hospital. The other two drivers were not identified nor was there any indication given of their condition. The investigation is being led by the Kentucky State Police.
