CADIZ, KY- A female driver passed away when she caused an accident at an intersection in Cadiz on Oct. 31st , KSP News reports.
Marcie Birdsong, 70, and Everett Birdsong, 75, were driving on Blue Springs Rd going south in a 2007 Toyota Tacoma. Marcie, the driver, attempted to turn left onto US-68/KY-80.
An incoming 2022 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by 18 year-old Jillian Plunkett crashed into the Tacoma on the driver’s side.
Marcie died from the impact. Everett was hospitalized out-of-state with sever injuries, and Plunkett was hospitalized at Trigg County Hospital with minor injuries.
Plunkett had been driving the Silverado with a 2000 TP Towlite horse trailer attached at the time of the incident. The horse inside the trailer was uninjured.
Kentucky State Police, Trigg County EMS, Trigg County Rescue, Kentucky Highway Department, Stinnett’s Towing, and Trigg County Highway Department all responded to the incident.
