3 dead after car crosses into opposite lane in Marion County

LEBANON, KY- Two adults and a child were killed when their counterflow vehicle crashed on Oct. 6th, KSP reports.

The Kentucky State Police, Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Marion County Fire and EMS, Marion County Rescue Squad, Marion County Coroner, and Kentucky State Highway Department all responded to the call on US 68.

The KSP stated that a 2015 Nissan Sentra was driving west when it drove onto the other lane. The Sentra then crashed into a 2011 Lexus SUV which had been driving east.

In the Sentra was Matthew Brady, 32, Amber Perez, 33, and a juvenile. Both adults were pronounced dead at the crash site. The juvenile died after being hospitalized at Springview Hospital.

Timothy Mayes, 46, was driving the Lexus. Nothing was reported regarding any injuries he may have sustained.
