2 injured in semi-truck accident in Carroll County

CARROLL COUNTY, KY- 2 people were hospitalized after their semi-truck was hit by another semi on I-79 on Oct 8th, KSP News reports.

A 2016 Freightliner struck a 2009 Freightliner when the 2009 Freightliner slowed down in the right lane in an attempt to exit. The 2016 Freightliner was forced to also exit. It ended up hitting a cable barrier as well.

Kentucky State Police, Carroll County EMS, Ghent Fire Department, and the Carroll County Sheriffs Office all responded to the scene at mile marker 44 around 4:47p.m.

KSP continues the investigation.
