MERCER COUNTY, KY – A head-on crash is the suspected cause of two deaths on the Bluegrass Parkway on Monday morning.
WKYT reports that the crash occurred close to the 53 mile marker at approximately 5:30 in the morning.
Authorities report that the two fatality victims are Harrison County resident Donald Jackson, 82, and Nelson County’s Joshua W. Eversole, 33.
It is suspected that Jackson was affected by a medical emergency which caused him to veer into oncoming traffic and strike Eversole’s vehicle.
The accident also caused significant delays as well as damage to the roadway.
