BRANDENBURG, KY – A three-car crash in Brandenberg killed one teenager and sent three other people to the hospital on Friday, according to WDRB.
The crash occurred around 3:50 p.m. in the 300 block of Bypass Road near the Old Ekron Road intersection.
The incident began when a Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 16-year-old crashed into a Ford Focus while turning left onto Bypass Road.
The Ford Focus crossed into the northbound lanes as a result of the initial crash and was then struck again by a driver in a Chevrolet pickup truck.
Emergency responders pronounced a 16-year-old passenger in the Focus dead at the scene.
The driver and another passenger in the Focus, as well as the driver of the pickup, were hospitalized. The driver of the Focus, an unidentified 17-year-old, sustained life-threatening injuries.
